# istari-samples

Use `istari_quickstart_13_2_1.py` as the sample runner. Do not recreate its API calls
from memory.

## Choose a sample

List the samples the installed script supports:

```bash
python istari_quickstart_13_2_1.py --list-samples
```

When the person asks for a sample without naming one, ask:

> Do you want to generate the bracket sample System?

The bracket sample creates a System with a rendered `00-README.html`, a binary
STL model, and the pure-Python generator on its `baseline` branch.

## Before running

1. Follow `istari-connect` to verify the SDK generation and credentials.
2. Keep Key credentials in `istari.env`: `ISTARI_DIGITAL_API_URL`,
   `ISTARI_CLIENT_IDENTITY_SERVICE_SECRET_FILE`, and
   `ISTARI_DIGITAL_IDENTITY_SERVICE_ENABLED=true`. Never ask for the Key contents.
3. If `istari.env` is missing, create the placeholder:

   ```bash
   python istari_quickstart_13_2_1.py --init-env
   ```

   Stop while the person generates a Key in **avatar → Developer → Generate
   Key**, downloads it, and fills in both placeholders.

## Run the bracket sample

```bash
python istari_quickstart_13_2_1.py --sample bracket --env istari.env
```

Report the returned `system_id` and `ui_link`. Then stop unless the person asks
for another action.

To upload a model the person supplied instead of a generated sample, use
`istari-models` and `istari-systems`; do not call it a sample.
